Carbon projects stall long before issuance.

The wrong methodology, a weak additionality case or a missing baseline year is cheap to find in week two and expensive to find at validation. Every engagement starts by testing what is most likely to fail first.

Know if a project works before money moves.

Feasibility tells you whether a project can earn credits, how many, under which methodology and on which registry. Landowners, developers and industrials exploring removals get a clear go or no-go, with the revenue case and the risks written down.

CBAM costs are already accruing.

The definitive period began on 1 January 2026, and the first declarations are due on 30 September 2027. Exporters who rely on default values pay more than those with verified actuals. We calculate your real embedded emissions and build the method that defends them.

One dataset for EACs, CBAM and the product passport.

Most exporters ship only part of their output into the EU. So the foundation is environmental attribute certificates (EACs), mapped to verified carbon intensity across everything you produce. The data in each EAC is the data CBAM reporting requires. It is also the emissions data the EU Digital Product Passport carries. Measure once, and every buyer, border and passport draws on the same record. CBAM reporting issues no credits, so no success fee on credits applies.

Ready for the verifier, not just the deadline.

A strong project can still fail verification on weak data. We design the monitoring plan, data flows and QA/QC, then run a mock verification. When the independent verifier arrives, the evidence is already in order.

Follow every credit to retirement.

When a project runs on Demia's dMRV platform, the record doesn't stop at issuance. You see which registry issued each credit, where it was listed, who bought it and when it was retired. Volumes and revenue are tracked by vintage, so your financials match the registry.

Practitioners, not generalists.

The practice is led by Rori Cowan. She was lead author of the first methodology for the Ecosystem Services Market Consortium. She audited a range of project types at SCS Global Services. She was also a Director and Sustainability Advisor at Radicle, which became BMO Radicle after BMO acquired it.

Independent verification. Fees in plain sight.

Demia prepares projects for verification and never verifies its own work. Advisory engagements are fixed fee. Platform projects pay an annual license plus a success fee on credits issued and transacted, agreed in writing before any work begins.

Common questions

Does Demia verify or certify credits?

No. Verification is done by accredited, independent verification bodies. Demia prepares the project, the data and the evidence so verification goes cleanly.

Which registries and standards do you work with?

Engagements cover the major voluntary registries and standards, including Verra, Gold Standard, ACR, Puro.earth and Isometric, as well as CBAM and ISO 14064 for compliance reporting.

Do we need the Demia platform to use these services?

No. Advisory engagements stand on their own at a fixed fee. Where continuous measurement matters, the dMRV design maps directly onto the platform, so you can move to signed, automated data later.

How does Demia charge when a project runs on the platform?

An annual license matched to your Silver, Gold or Platinum engagement, plus a success fee on credits issued and transacted through the platform. Terms are set during negotiation and agreed in writing. The license covers signed monitoring data, reporting and tracking of every credit from issuance to retirement. CBAM projects issue no credits, so the success fee does not apply to them.
